The Josh Platzer Blog

In 1999, 15 year-old Josh Platzer died from suicide. Since that time, his parents have worked tirelessly to ensure that teens, parents of teens, friends, relatives and teachers have the knowledge, tools, skills and education needed to prevent this terrible tragedy from touching their lives or the lives of those they care about.

This blog is a work in progress. In time, we’d like it to become a place where you can come for information about the prevention of suicide, as well as a resource for students, teachers and parents to find books, links, articles and other educational materials on suicide prevention.

Your comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Josh’s life was cut terribly short. It is our greatest wish that the tragedy that befell him will continue to save lives, and his name and his memory will evoke, not despair, but hope.
